Synopsis
An agnostic sex podcaster and a newly minted rabbi fall in love; they discover if their relationship will survive their very different lives and interfering families. Originally titled “Shiksa,” which is also the last spoken word in the first episode. I really enjoy this show, it takes me back to my single and dating days and leaves a smile on my face. It tackles very realistic and relevant topics (re: dating and dating culture) at the same time and does so in a refreshingly straightforward way, the way dating should be, constantly honest dialogue, no gimmicks. Their chemistry is very good (of course it helps that they are both experienced and talented actors in their own right) and makes this a great film that brings back all those nostalgic feelings. Kristen Bell, I’ve been following her since I watched Veronica Mars as a little girl. And Adam Brody, my husband, looked at the TV and said, He hasn’t been in a relationship since The O.C. not changed, he is right.
