Synopsis

The film was supposed to tell the story of a little boy separated from his father during World War II. The boy discovers the Island of Sodor, where he meets Thomas the Tank Engine and sets out to find his father. It was supposed to be the second feature film in the franchise (after “Thomas and the Magic Railroad” in 2000) and was scheduled to be released in 2010. Due to numerous production issues, the film was delayed several times until it was finally cancelled in 2015 when HIT Entertainment went out of business and sold its ownership rights to Mattel.
