Synopsis
Follow Catherine Ravenscroft, a television documentary journalist whose work is built on exposing the transgressions of long-respected institutions. Gary Oldman was originally rumored to get the role, but he was replaced by Kevin Kline. I’ve never read the book, so judging the series is independent. The series is too long, stretched out too much. It was intriguing and mysterious for the first few episodes, but by the fifth episode I was like, “Oh my god, stop it already.” Catherine’s silence/constant interruptions when trying to tell her side just feels like a plot device to keep the story going. Clearly preparing for a “turn”. The constant, detailed sex scenes are just awesome. Literally porn. I don’t mind the sex scenes, but if I want to watch the "detailed" ten minutes of sex scenes, my first choice would not be Apple TV+.
